About Church on the Rock
Church on the Rock is a non-denominational, spirit-filled Christian church in Texarkana, Texas. We exist for one reason: to connect people to God, to friends, to ministry, and to the world.
Our vision is to see people love God with all their heart and fulfill the Great Commission — to equip every believer to use their God-given gifts to advance the Kingdom of God.
Our Pastoral Team
John & LaNell Miller
Senior Pastors • COTR since 1990
John was saved as a young Navy sailor in 1976 during the Jesus Movement. A graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary, he has been in pastoral ministry for over forty years. LaNell — a graduate of San José State University — comes from a family deeply rooted in missions. Her father served in Christian ministry for seventy years. Together, they have three children: John Henry, Bethany, and Rebekah.

Executive Pastors
Pastor Mike oversees day-to-day operations and leads COTR's beloved annual Father's Day Car Show — an outreach event that draws hundreds each year.
Travis & Whitney Jackson
Executive Pastors
Travis and Whitney serve alongside the senior leadership team, helping to shepherd the congregation and oversee key areas of ministry.

Worship & Media Pastor
Leads COTR's worship ministry and media team, creating an atmosphere where people encounter God through music and creativity.
